Consent to data processing for web analytics

A separate document on what you agree to with the "Accept" button in the cookie question. Without this consent analytics does not turn on.

By pressing Accept in the cookie question you freely, specifically, knowingly and unambiguously consent to Skillok LLC (hello@skillok.org) processing your personal data for web analytics on the terms below. The consent is separate: it is not part of the Terms of Service and is not required to use Skillok. Declining breaks nothing.

What data#

Yandex Metrica cookies and identifiers (_ym_uid, ClientID), IP address, device, browser and language details, the page address and where you came from, actions on the site: navigation, clicks, scrolling, sign-up events.

While you are signed in, the counter does not load at all. Session recording ("Webvisor") is off: page content and what you type into fields never reach Metrica. Addresses carrying one-time codes or tokens are not passed to the counter.

Why#

To understand how people use the site: which pages and paths work, where people stumble, where they come from and whether they reach sign-up. The data is not used for advertising or retargeting.

Who processes it and how#

We, through the Yandex Metrica service. Operations: collection, recording, storage, organisation, aggregation into reports, deletion. Processing is automated.

Duration and withdrawal#

The consent lasts until you withdraw it, but no longer than a year: then we ask again, as we do after a material change of the rules. Withdraw at any time with the Cookie settings link in the site footer, here — Cookie settings — or by writing to hello@skillok.org. After withdrawal the counter does not load and its cookies in your browser are erased; Yandex keeps the data already collected under its own rules.
