# xAI: Grok models

Grok is the family of models from xAI — strong in reasoning and code. How they differ, access from Russia and how to connect them in SKILLOK.

## Who they are

**xAI** is an American company founded by Elon Musk. Its **Grok** models are built into the X social network and available to developers through an API.

* Lighter versions — faster and cheaper.

Direct access to the xAI API from Russia is not available.
